I have been told I’m the type of athlete coaches want on their team due to my commitment, grit, hustle, strategy and heart. I make pitchers nervous, working counts and making them work for it when I’m at bat. I put the defense to work from well laid bunts to line drives to the OF. I use my speed and my strategic base running to steal bases and score runs. My goal is to push myself and teammates to victory and improvement and be the player the coaches can count on to keep driving forward together. All while working on self development and improvement bc we should always be learning and growing.
I believe you can get only a glimpse into who I am as a person, student, son, brother, and athlete from the statistics and info on my profile so I wanted to also help you learn more about me as a person outside of baseball because whoever I play for will get all of me.
First, I am the oldest of 9 children. We’re a blended family of 11 in total. I take responsibility for being a role model for my younger siblings and being someone my mother, father, and stepfather can count on. This means staying focused academically and modeling how to balance school with sports, work, hobbies, friends, and family in a good, meaningful way. Family is tremendously important to me and will always be as I continue my life’s path into college and beyond. They have been my biggest supporters and one of the biggest influences that have supported my athletic career, in and out of baseball.
Secondly, I have always taken pride in my academics, keeping myself on a rhythm of working ahead to ensure my work is done and I am prepared for upcoming exams. I have been able to successfully balance achieving distinguished honors & honors awards with an AP and Honors course load with a 4.0 GPA my entire academic career with my commitments to my athletic career, my employment, volunteer opportunities, and my social life. I bring that same focus, determination, and committment onto the ball field as well.
As a ball player, I pride myself on having the utmost respect for the game, my coaches, and fellow players. Like any other aspect of my life, I take feedback as a gift, and I will take it and put in the work to make the necessary improvements. It’s a privilege to be able play ball on any team and I take that commitment to heart. Being on a team requires putting in the time, effort, hustle, and heart. Much like my family life, I often find myself taking a leadership role bringing fellow players along, supporting and helping my coaches and teammates however I can – when we’re stronger together, we win together.
I hope you find that the person you now know more about fits into the team culture and environment you’re building on your team. Let’s go make it happen!
