I have been a two-sport athlete and have loved participating on baseball and ice hockey teams year round for as long as I can remember. For the past several years, my goal - really my dream - has been to play baseball in college. In accomplishing this goal, I will be able to continue to participate in the game I love while I pursue an education and determine what career path I want to pursue. Currently, my goal is to go into sports journalism, but I hope that I will get to explore a lot of new and different areas at college and I am open to learning about new things. I also know that I will make life-long friends through being on a team, as I have already had the good fortune to make such friends on the multiple baseball and ice hockey teams I have played on. I have especially enjoyed meeting and forming strong and lasting friendships with teammates from many backgrounds. I am a good candidate for any college that gives me an opportunity because I am a hard-working, fun, and energetic athlete and student. I am dedicated to training and work out at the gym at least 3-4 times a week, often going well before dawn to hit or lift. I will play a leadership role on any team. I have been a captain or alternate captain on many of my hockey teams, and while baseball teams typically don't have on field captains, I have always been a leader, which has made me a more effective catcher. Most of all, I love to play and I will work my hardest to be able to do so.
