Anthony Hansen '19 Recruiting Profile

Almost two years ago, my Grandfather, who I was unbelievably close with passed away unexpectedly. After that day, I made sure I put his name and the date he passed away on every sports shoe or cleat I wear. This isn't just to remind me of him, but to remind me of all the advice his given me about life and playing sports. Before games, I remember all he cared about was that I loved playing the game,  and gave 110% every time you are lucky enough to step out on the field. 

That little writing on my shoe gives me motivation in every game , practice, lift, etc., to enjoy the process, ups, down, wins, and losses and never stop giving 110%. It helps me to never forget him or his incredible advice for everything. It allows me to always compete at my highest level, and play the right way.  

As an athlete, winning is my everything. I am a leader on the field, and off the field in training to make sure my teammates and I are as ready as possible to succeed. I try to always have a larger goal in mind, making sure I am never satisfied with results. I always want more wins, success, and championships. I know I need to make sure I out work everyone in every aspect f life to make myself the best person, student, and athlete I can be.

I feel that I am a great fit for many teams because I am a natural leader, and will do anything it takes to help a team win, and succeed.  I enjoy the "dirty work" and love getting after goals with my teammates.
