In college, I hope to excel academically and athletically, mature personally and to continue to be a positive influence on those around me. My competitive nature and leadership both on and off the field have always made me a valued member of every team of which I have been a part, and I am certain that these attributes will continue in college. Just as I do in the classroom, I work hard on the field to be the best pitcher, third baseman and first baseman that I can. At the plate, I take pride in knowing when I need to drive in a run, hit behind a runner or work a walk. I carry myself on the field as I do off the field and always remember what my coach preaches: "It's never the right time to do the wrong thing, and it's never the wrong time to do the right thing."
