My name is Christian Maccarrone, class of 2022 at East Stroudsburg Senior High School South in East Stroudsburg, Pa. I am currently 5ft.11in 185lbs. I am a right handed pitcher, play both corner infield positions, as well a switch hitter. Growing up in a family that loves baseball, I began playing at a very young age. When I was 4 years old, my parents actually bought me a small set of Fisher Price toy golf clubs. As soon as I picked up the clubs I began to swing them naturally right handed and left handed. This translated well when I started swinging a baseball bat shortly after. Ever since then I've been an asset to every team I've played for as pretty much the only switch hitter. I developed my swing based on mimicking the batting stances of all my favorite Yankee players.
When I'm not on the field I try to keep myself involved with the game, whether it be in the gym or watching film. I have the utmost respect for all my coaches and teammates. I try to uplift and encourage my team in difficult situations and strive to be a good leader. As a Freshman, I played at the Varsity level as a starter. With hard work and dedication to the team I worked my way up the lineup. My junior season 2021, I was named 2nd team all conference for infield. Playing at the Varsity level has afforded me the opportunity to learn from experienced players on how to maintain a positive attitude and lead by example. I aspire to carry those traits with me to the collegiate level. I make sure to spend time with my family. My parents, sisters, and grandparents are very supportive with my journey, and continue to be my biggest fans.
My academics are equally important to me along with baseball I am ranked 38 of 332 students. I give 110% of myself to both. I participate in DECA and the National Honor Society. I plan to major in Marketing. To my future coach, I guarantee that I will give all that I have on and off the field. I will be a good teammate and representative of my University.
