Gavin Hawkes '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gavin Hawkes and I am a 2022 grad, a corner infielder and pitcher. It has been a dream of mine to play college baseball and I would love to make it happen at the highest level of play I possibly can. I currently stand 5'10" tall and weigh 185 lbs. I have a good command of 3 pitches (FB, CB, CH). My fastball is consistently around 80 mph. My curveball ranges from 69-72 mph, and my change up is 70-75 mph. I'm working on increasing my velocity as I continue to strength train. I am a right handed hitter with a 92 exit velocity. I hit for power and I am mainly a pull hitter but I am working on hitting the ball the other way. 

I'm working hard in school and I am trying to improve my grades and  work on my study habits to increase my GPA. Recognizing my weakness and learning to improve on them has been one of my academic goals during this year. I am planning to study business in college, specifically marketing, and have taken several business electives in high school, which I have really enjoyed.

I  plan to follow my dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level and will work hard to make myself and my team better in anyway possible.
