**Update- I have chosen to attend Thomas Jefferson University, and will pitch for the Rams.
I definitely want to go to college to further my education, and in the last couple years as I have made baseball my #1 sport over football, the idea of playing baseball in college has been a growing interest. Besides being a good student, I'm a pretty good kid, and a good teammate. I'm humble and stay calm on and off the field. I'm involved with my church youth group, and like serving and helping others.
On the field, I'm a strong kid with a strong arm. My junior season has taught me patience. We had a new coach this year after our head coach tragically passed away last fall. Our roster had alot of seniors, who were given the first opportunity to play, so it wasnt until almost halfway through the season that i got my opportunity when two seniors were struggling to throw strikes- I pitched well in a relief outing (4 ip, 0 r, 9k vs state 5A finalist) and then got 3 starts after that, finishing with 25 strikeouts with 10 walks in 20.2 innings. Pitching got me into the lineup, and I went 15-30 with a homer and 14 rbi's. I was then selected for our county team in the Phillies Carpenter Cup. It felt great to contribute and play well, and has me eager to work hard again in the summer, fall and offseason to prepare to lead my team my senior year, and to see what opportunities in college are available to me.
