It’s really hard for me to describe myself without mentioning baseball and I can’t imagine my life without it. I am looking forward to competing at the college level because I know that continuing to play will help me succeed in life. I’ve learned that if I work hard and respect the game, I can achieve my goals. I realized at a young age that baseball was a game of failures and that giving up wasn’t an option, so I learned how to work harder every day to get better.
When I was chosen to represent my high school at the State Leadership Conference for FBLA this year, I knew that having confidence in my baseball abilities easily transferred to scoring the highest in accounting to earn a spot on that team. I am also representing Blair County in our local chapter of YEA!. (Young Entrepreneur Academy) My strong work ethic and desire to build a successful team on the field has helped me excel in this year long program where I am learning to be an entrepreneur.
I also have a passion for weight lifting. I’ve been lifting for a over a year and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. My current weight is 190lbs and I bench 240lbs, squat 320lbs and deadlift 370lbs. I love challenging myself to get better every day in the gym, on the field and especially in the classroom.
Baseball has taught me that it’s rare to feel comfortable and that’s not a bad thing. I want nothing more than the opportunity to play baseball as long as the game allows.
