Travis Kowal '24 Recruiting Profile

At 8 years old I joined my first travel team, and at 10 years old we made it to the Diamond Nation tournament. Ever since that time, I fell in love with working on a team both on and off the field. Making it to the playoffs and having a hard-fought battle against a tough team this year is what the game of baseball is all about and why I love it. Experiences like losing a close game are what really have taught me about life and enabled me to grow strong character and baseball ethics. 

Off the field, I take pride in everything I do and always work hard in every aspect of my life. Anyone who knows me knows I will not quit until I am satisfied and achieve my goals. My character shows through clubs and community service organizations, such as being a member of my school's Student Athletic Advisory Committee, as well as holding the position of executive board member in the National Honor Society. Outside of school, I volunteer for events such as the Area P Special Olympics, Warrior Baseball Camp, and help organize donations to the Pike County Office of Human Resources to help people in my community who are in need. 

What sets me apart from other athletes is my positive, supportive attitude and my grit and grind to work hard and achieve my goals. I will push myself as well as others to try and lead our team to success. I find success and encouragement through failure because there is always something to learn and work from.
