My love for baseball truly started when I was 12 years old. A week-long tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park was where I experienced one of my favorite memories growing up. The team bonding, camaraderie and atmosphere showed me what baseball is really about, and this fueled my passion and love for the sport.
My primary goals for college include getting the best education I can while competing at the highest possible level. Being a collegiate athlete is important to me. I know that the discipline and commitment required to be a successful student athlete will help shape my character well beyond my time in college. Currently I am undecided on a major, but I am interested in a medical career path.
I will make a good candidate for your team because I'm a leader. I always look to encourage teammates to be the best that they can be, and I pride myself in leading by example. While on the field you will always see me with my head held high and focused on keeping a positive atmosphere in the dugout. I also strive at all times to be very coachable. This has been stressed to me by my parents for as long as I can remember. I consider myself a student of the game and I am constantly striving to learn from my coaches and teammates.
The primary quality that makes me stand out from other athletes is my work ethic. I will always give maximum effort no matter what the circumstance is. I believe that the way we perform in practice is going to correlate directly to how we perform at gametime. I am also a multi-sport varsity athlete. I have played varsity baseball and football since my sophomore year. Playing at this level has allowed me to play and learn under high pressure situations.
The one thing that comes above all of these priorities for me is my education. I take my education very seriously and it is always a number one priority. At the conclusion of my college career I know that I will have put everything I had into baseball, and everything I have learned on and off the field I will take with me in the future.
