Ryan Turant '22 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been a part of my life since birth.  My first gift was a baseball glove in the hospital.  Playing the game has always been fun and has given me some of my best moments. 

Baseball has taught me not to let others define me.  I feel that some coaches and teammates have underestimated me at times.  I responded to this by working harder and preparing for that moment when my opportunity would be given.  When given that opportunity, I have excelled in those moments.  I worked my way from being told I was “not a pitcher” as an 8^th grader to becoming a team captain and the team’s #1 pitcher as a freshman.  My college goal will be to win a conference championship and be named to an all conference team.

I would like to earn a business degree and become a real estate appraiser after graduation.  I am looking for a program and coach that will provide the structure to help me meet this goal.  The belief I have in myself, the will to compete instead of pout, and the desire to be a part of a winning team makes me a valuable asset to a college program.
