** As a 2022 grad, my ultimate goal would be to play baseball at a school that also offers the Naval or Army ROTC program. I am currently undecided as I wait for ROTC scholarship decisions as well as possible admission to the United States Naval Academy. In the meantime, I would be open to having a conversation with interested schools that also offer ROTC.  **

Hi, my name is Mark "Dieter" Luta and I am a right-hand pitcher and shortstop for Spring Grove Area High School. I am known for my solid fielding, deceiving off-speed pitches, and great character. My love for the game is genuine and I try not to ever miss an opportunity to show gratitude to those who have made it possible for me to play. 

I have always aspired to become a collegiate athlete, continually challenging myself athletically and academically to the fullest. I am a hard-working, outgoing player, who believes that with a positive attitude and great effort I can attain the greatest success.  I am never late to practice, and I always give my all on the field. In addition to playing on the varsity baseball team, I also play midfield for my high school soccer team.  I would like to go to a college where I would be challenged both academically and athletically and where I can use my hard work, dedication and leadership to achieve success.
