Cameron Shaffer '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cameron Shaffer and I am currently a Senior at Penns Valley High School in Pennsylvania which is only 15 minutes from Penn State University. I will graduate in the spring of 2019 and have aspirations of continuing my baseball career in college.

The past two summers I have represented the Nittany region for the Pennsylvania Keystone State games. I played in the outfield for both of those years. I also played for Iron Masters travel ball as a youth. For the last several years I have trained in the off season with a hitting coach working on refining my skills. I enjoy strength training on my off time. Currently I start varsity as an outfielder. I play all outfield positions and have experience with infield and pitching. My goal is to compete at the next level in a program where I can learn from others and make a positive impact on the team.

I honestly don’t remember a time when I wasn’t in love with the game. From the time I was a little kid, I was playing even if it was running and sliding in my living room. I can’t imagine not having baseball in my life.
