  • 1/15/21 to 1/17/21
  • This talented 2-way prospect continues to shine and did so again at the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the OF, first step is quick as he aggressively tracks down fly-balls to his right and left covering a ton of ground. He maintains athletic actions, gains ground and fires strong throws with zip & carry into his target (89 mph). As a hitter, Ryan steps into the box looking to swing it. Hands are quick generating a ton of bat speed as he jumps on pitches in the zone. The ball explodes off of his barrel as he drives it from gap-to-gap. On the mound, this lefty proved to challenge hitters with an array of pitches. Arm action is long & loose as he stays directional and repeats his delivery well. He pounds the zone with all of his pitches throwing strikes consistently. FB remains at 85 mph with good arm-side run. Changeup shows to be his best pitch as it has good sinking action and gets GB's. He does a nice job of mixing his pitches and varying his looks, keeping base runners guessing. Albin has the skill-set that will make an immediate impact at the next level.

  • 7/27/20 to 7/27/20
  • 07/27/2020 - Back to Baseball Program Only - York, PA Albin continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he covers a ton of ground with speed (60 yard = 6.85) moving lightly on the balls of his feet. He works behind and through the ball with a quick transfer to throw. At the plate, he displays an athletic stance with active hands and fluid rhythm. He whips the barrel with + bat speed and hits the ball where it's pitched, creating hard contact to all parts of the field. On the mound, he can spot up and works the ball in and out. FB cracks the mitt at 82 mph while slider has some tight spin. This talented 2-way prospect has what it takes to make an impact in a variety of ways.

  • Baseball Factory: Official College Recruiting
  • 7/16/20 to 7/16/20
  • 07/08/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Trenton, NJ Ryan is an athletic/projectable (6'0"/165) LHP who pounds the zone with strikes. He works to a tall/controlled balance point, keeps his eyes on the target and drives downhill toward the dish. He can hit his spots with his FB - 78-80 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape with sharp/late break. Changeup is thrown with FB arm speed helping to create deception. It has good tailing action and is a solid swing and miss pitch. As a hitter, Ryan displays a balanced setup with rhythm. He takes a hack and looks to drive the ball with pop. He squares the ball up and drives it back up the middle of the field (exit velocity = 85 mph). This 2021 LHP will compete every time he toes the rubber.

  • OVERALL SUMMATION Present Future Description Role 30 50 Ceiling High High Gordon Blakeley Quality 2-way athlete -- will have 3 ML average pitches with clean delivery and arm action -- ball gets on hitter with some late hop -- CB will be a strikeout pitch with abrupt spin and action late -- makings of quality CH with fade and deception. True CF with athlete written all over him -- good 1st step quickness -- clean, smooth, fluid stroke with balance -- ability to center the ball and use the whole field -- will have usable power to all fields -- quality arm in CF -- will be an impact D1 player and then pro -- competes, awareness -- looks the part -- energetic. DEVELOPMENT NOTES Bill Bliss / Ken Harvey Bill Bliss Tall, lean, projectable frame. Loose athlete with loose arm action. Has small hitch in back in arm action. Live, strong arm that works well out front. Fastball showed good angle and some cut life. Breaking ball had good bite with some sweep action. Change up was firm, but effective with arm speed. Delivery was inconsistent, falls off to glove side. When trying to get more out of pitch, would open early. Player must maintain line and drive to target. Overall stuff projects and will have good stuff. Should maintain throwing program and add strength. Ken Harvey Great potential to spray the baseball to all fields consistently with a sweet lefty swing. To make it a consistent reality you have to focus on calming your approach early. Also, maintain hands that are not coming underneath the baseball. Mentally stay level, and in the middle of the field. Pivot on the backside has to be more aggressive going down, and through the baseball. These slight changes to a solid approach will just solidify a consistent process to reach your true upside as a hitter.

  • Ryan Albin (2021, Southampton Pa.) of Zoom Baseball Academy-Black showed impressive stuff on the mound before leaving due to an injury. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound southpaw showed a solid fastball/curveball mix. His fastball sat 80-83 with good sink, and he showed he could pitch to both sides of the plate with ease. Albin mixed in a hard slurve type at 70mph with excellent movement. Albin stands tall on the mound and is lanky with long arms, throwing across his body from a high three-quarters arm slot. He has fluid mechanics on the mound and uses his strong legs to pitch down the mound. Albin showed a lot of potential in his short stint on the mound and is someone to keep an eye on for the future.
  • Camp/Event
  • Baseball Factory College PREP
  • 7/09/19 to 7/09/19
  • 07/09/2019 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Ryan is an athletic OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Ryan shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting back into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. On the mound, Ryan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release. Ryan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph. Breaking ball sits from 68-69mph with 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 74-76mph. Overall, Ryan is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Albin struck out 12, while Crusaders Baseball Club pitchers sat down four. Albin got the start for Zoom Baseball Academy - 2020. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over seven innings, striking out 12. Robert Buckley, Jesse Jaconski, Albin, and Jameson Masino each collected one hit to lead Zoom Baseball Academy - 2020. 6/15/2019: 3 for 4 - Single, Triple and Double, 3 RBI in debut at plate for Zoom Baseball Academy.

  • OVERALL SUMMATION Present Future Description Role 20 20 College Player Ceiling Average Average Mike Eaglin Thin build with a lot of room for added strength. Sound hitting mechanics but has a lot of moving parts that work now, but may affect timing in the future. Line drive, gap ability but strength for future raw power. Sound defender with solid actions and fundamentals. Enough arm for all 3 OF positions. Pitcher- High 3/4 arm slot with a clean delivery and 3-pitch mix; FB, CB and CH, off speed pitches being more advanced than his FB.....D3/D2. DEVELOPMENT NOTES Jason Aspito / Jason Aspito Jason Aspito Hitting: Allow lower half to initiate swing. Focus on using legs more, get into the ground. Tends to pull off pitches. Will need to work on creating loose, whip-like barrel. Could be more physical added strength. OF: learn to be more aggressive to the ball. Work on ball transfer to throw. Continue to work on arm strength.. Would like to see him learn Pro Step. Jason Aspito Hitting: Has some good whip, but should use the entire field to hit. Continue to work on getting stronger and flexibility; This will allow for you to use legs better as a hitter. Fielding: Continue to improve arm strength. Work to present glove sooner when in fielding approach; will help to quicken up release. Should improve with added strength.

  • 12/20/18 to 12/23/19
  • 12/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Ryan is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way prospect that knows how to enjoy the game. In the OF, Ryan starts in an athletic position, he's on time with his pre step, and is aggressive to ground balls. He works behind the ball and makes accurate throws to the plate. At the plate, Ryan starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and gets his front foot down on time. He needs to continue to create backside drive, attack the inside part of the ball, and keep his head down at contact. On the bump, Ryan has good mound presence, gathers over the rubber, and has a loose arm action. His fastball tops out at 79, he has a medium break on his curveball, and he throws his changeup for strikes. He needs to continue to separate on time, and work north to south in his delivery. Ryan is a hard worker and will continue to improve with experience.
