Do you need a 2026 catcher with a 1.97 pop who can throw 80 from the crouch and can also hit well, has a high OBP, and can close out an inning pitching if needed to save an arm?
I am a catcher in the class of 2026. (I can also play first base, outfield and pitch a few innings when needed (I have an 80-82 fastball and a 72-76 slider).
I love catching best. I frame and block really well and work well with all pitchers. I definitely "create" strikes for my pitchers. I like to catch guys stealing at 2nd - or pick them off at 1st or 2rd. My baseball IQ is high. I am a good student, and a good teammate. I want to go to the best D1 baseball school I can get into with the best academics. I want to play baseball for as long as I can, but I believe strongly in a great education and the ability to go on with a Plan B in life, should I be injured, etc.
I see the whole game well, and am good at locking in batters' behaviors (strengths and weaknesses) which helps me call pitches. I get along with the umpires - and use that to help my pitchers in every game.
I am open to all kinds of colleges/universities - big or small, but prefer campuses that are part of the town they're in. I want the best baseball program that fits me and develops me and (eventually) plays me. What matters most is the culture of the baseball team and its coaches.
I am looking for a team culture where sportsmanship, competitiveness, and development are truly valued and prioritized. We win and we lose together; and that mindset needs to be the standard for a team to truly be unbeatable.
