I’ve had lots of things in my life influence who I am as a person. I draw it from just myself always wanting to be a kind but hard working person. I would say that my kindness comes from school and how accepting everyone from my school is from my friends to teachers. Everyone at school is nice and that kindness rubbed off on me. The fact that I have never changed school makes really my kindness permanent as I always enjoy making everyone around me happy. Where my hardworking attitude comes from I would say my parents. They have always encouraged and pushed me to my limits in school.
Getting good grades at school is my way of thanking them for giving me my school and my smarts. I started baseball from the age of 5 and always thought of baseball as a fun activity. I really started to get into baseball as almost like a job around me being 13. Around this time I had been taught to pitch and something about pitching just clicked in my head and I just instantly fell in love with the idea of pitching. Something about me, the pitcher, being able to control the game and speed, really just made my job as a pitcher great. Ever since I have dedicated most of my abilities to pitching.
I have learned that skills don’t naturally come to you, however if they do, you must be able to take advantage of those skills or they will be worthless to you. I have also learned that you need to train not just casually but take things seriously or you’ll be left behind. I have always been a great student. My goals are to take some AP classes to have some advantage or when I go to college while also getting good grades in my normal classes. I always love to go for a 4.0 GPA and as long as I remain disciplined and focus I know I can get there for sure. As for college, I will expect no different then my high school academics.
Knowing how to be disciplined in both my school work and my pitching has been my goal. I am hopeful that the combination between my academics and baseball is the winning ticket in achieving great success in a STEM career in a prestigious university.

- Fernando Serrano-Osorio is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Canovanas, PR who attends Antilles HS. Recorded an 8.33 second 60-yard dash time. Younger build with room to add strength to the frame. Primary righthanded pitcher who pitches exclusively from the stretch. Simple mechanics with a leg lift at the belt and a short arm stroke. Higher arm slot as he works on top of the fastball. Topped out at 71 mph that was best used low in the strike zone. Flashed a curveball with big depth. Good athleticism on the mound. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield. Righthanded hitter with a middle of the field approach. Leg lift trigger with some bat speed through the zone. Contact oriented swing that is short and compact. Great student. 8.33-60 YARD DASH 1.95-10 YARD SPLIT 69-OF 71-FB 67-70-FB RANGE 51-CB

- Fernando Serrano-Osorio is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-7 159 lb. frame from Canovanas, PR who attends Antilles. He ran a 8.36 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a young stocky build. On the mound he worked from the stretch only with a belt high leg lift, his arm works full through the back up to a high three-quarters arm slot, he does a nice job maintaining his line to the plate as he works down the hill, he also mixed in a curveball in the low 60's with short depth near the zone. In the outfield fields the ball off his left foot, into a big gather with a shoulder tilt with a full arm action with developing arm strength. Right-handed hitter, shifts weight slightly into contact using the middle of the field with some line drive contact, he showed some feel for the barrel and will produce more power as he develops more bat speed. Very good student. 8.36 -60 YARD DASH 1.81-10 YARD SPLIT 64-OF 69-FB 65-69-FB RANGE 62-CB
