Grayson Caron '19 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking your time in looking at my profile. Here are some things about myself: My high school goals include finishing with a 3.4 grade point average. I am also trying to graduate with completing at least four Advanced Placement courses during high school as well. To achieve these goals, I look to complete all my homework, including studying every day for potential upcoming assessments. Seeing my teachers for extra help and answers to my questions is also something I will continue to do throughout my high school career. I strongly believe that my dedication for academic success is what defines me as a student. On the baseball field, I believe that my catching ability stands out among others. I'm the type of person who believes that it's the little things in baseball that make the largest differences, which separates a good team and a great team. The "little things" include establishing great communication between me, my pitchers, and my coaches, getting us all on the same page.  At the plate my motto is easily "swing at strikes only". As a hitter, and as a catcher, I see far too many players who swing at bad pitches, far too often. My ability at the plate to identify good pitches is one of my strengths as a hitter. I have many other strengths of which I look forward to helping your college team, as you can see in my video: My pitchers' ERA, my situational awareness, good receiving behind the dish, a great throwing arm, blocking, great with working with umpires, my situational hitting, and much more.
