My name is Isaiah Figueroa. I have played the game of baseball since I was 4 years old. I have played multiple positions over my career but I have felt most comfortable and have been blessed to be catcher for 10 years. I fell in love with the art of catching instantly, I have been infatuated with it since I started. Since I started catching I’ve worked tirelessly to become the best catcher for any and every team I play for and have been striving to be the best in division 2. I‘ve started on varsity my entire High School career. My sophomore year I made second team All-Divsion for division 2 and coming in 2nd place for golden glove. My junior season I also made second team All-Division also for division 2 and coming in second place for catcher of the year by only 1 vote, I also got an MVP award for my team. Next year I’m striving for first team all-division and catcher of the year. I have dreamed about playing college baseball for a long time and am trying my best to make it happen. I always try to be the best, I love competing no matter where it is: the baseball field, weight room or even just having fun. I have always been the underdog and have always proved everyone wrong through my hard work, drive, and love for the game of baseball. I hope to play at the next level and am looking to make it happen!
