Personal Statement

Hi I'm Nolan King currently I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and attend Martin Collegiate. I would like to attend a university not only to play baseball but to receive an education. Baseball was my first love and every minute that I spend with the game I enjoy. The game has taught me life lessons and has ultimately shaped me into the person that I am today. My position of choice is outfielder or pitcher. The classroom is huge for me as I am a student athlete (student comes first). I have always been an honour roll student and put just as much effort in the classroom as I do in baseball. Thank you coach for putting in the time to look over my profile! Had a great season, we finished off with a .500 record with a young team can't wait for the next 2 years with these guys.
2015 Regina White Sox (AAA)
Had a terrific season playing with the Sox for the second year in a row. Finished up the year going 11-4, 1.94 ERA, with 126 Strikeouts in 89 Innings. Truly a great year
2014 RBI Cobras (AAA)
Still currently playing with them we've only had one tournament that I've been to down in the states hope the next one down in Arizona will be great!

8/20/15 to 8/23/15
Amazing that I was selected to go to a national tournament! Pitched in 2 games. First game struggled going 4 giving up 2 while striking out 6 against Manatobia. Although in my second outing against the Okatokes dawgs (Alberta) known as one of the best baseball programs in the country! Went 4 shoutout innings only allowing 1 hit with 7 strikeouts.

Got to pitch in 2 games at the Western Canadian Games! Both of them totalling up to 8 innings 3 runs and 11 punchouts! Had a great time amazing experience getting to represent my province!

23rd Annual Melville Tournament
7/10/15 to 7/12/15
I Got to pitch in two games this tournament. The first one being only 1/3 innings just to get the final out as our team was struggling to close out the game. I pitched the inning and a third got the out and that was that. My second appearance I pitched against a well known team around the league known for there offence. I pitched a complete game allowing only two hits while striking out 7.

This was a great tournament beautiful ball parks and great competition. I made only one appearance in this tournament going four innings and giving up one earned run while striking out 3 due to some mental errors and defence struggles. Although it was still a great appearance and a amazing game. One step closer to my dream with every one of these tournaments!

Treasure Coast Presidents Day Challenge
2/14/15 to 2/15/15
Finished off this tournement playing with the RBI cobras while moving up with the older group, as I was 14 I moved up to play with the 16 year olds. I pitched in 1 game, going 5 innings, giving up 2 runs, striking out 8 while pitching 85 pitches.
