I want to get a degree in my field of study while playing college sports. I'm a hard worker and I take my coach's words to heart. I believe I'm different from other recruits because of my loyalty and my determination to meet both team and personal goals. I also have a history of finishing strong in whatever I take on. I was tested in the third grade and placed in a prodigy group with six other students who had extremely high IQ's. This fall (2014) I will begin the 9th grade and plan to take all honors classes. I've excelled in many sports including football, basketball, soccer and tennis, but my favorite has always been baseball. I'm involved in my church and I volunteer for the local child advocacy center. My parents are hard-working, middle-class people and an athletic scholarship would help them pay for my college. I'm not afraid of a challenge and hope to prove that I can earn a scholarship and be a valuable team player.
