My passion for baseball was born early as my father and I enjoyed watching MLB games on TV as a young child.
My school years have been spent balancing time between roles in school leadership, serving at church, tackling intense academic curriculum and dedicating myself to succeed in all aspects of baseball.
I’ve played at all levels from recreational to first-level competitive to the thrill of making my high-school team; leading my JV team in hits, home runs and runs batted in. I don’t over or under-estimate my abilities and take pride in my capacity to be coachable, accountable and confident.
Although I always strive to be a complete baseball player, I have found that I have a relentless passion and gift for hitting. For the last 5 years, it has been with great enthusiasm and exticement that I approach year-round hitting instruction with my mentor and instructor Dee Brown.
I was fortunate to be called up to the Varsity team during my sophomore year where I made some starts and traveled with my team to the state tournament where we came up short in the semifinals. My biggest takeaway from the state tournament was the camaraderie of the team and how we pushed each other to be the best we could be.
In closing, I want to assert that throughout my life I have always maintained impeccable academic excellence; always challenging myself by taking AP and Honors level courses. Additionally, my commitment to participation has included leadership roles such as Student Government, Freshman Mentor, Church Small Group Leader, and other influencing roles.
I can, without reservation, commit to becoming an immediate contributor to both your university as well as to your baseball program.
