Baseball has always been a major part of my life. I have been playing baseball since I was three years old. Throughout the years, I have learned and developed many skills. I have learned, through the trainers and coaches, discipline and to give 110% on the field at all times. They also instilled in me the knowledge of the game and the necessity of mental awareness. Something that has remained with me from my very first trainer is the awareness of my position with each defensive play, by asking myself "what do I do if I get the ball, what do I do if I don't get the ball?" I go through this with every pitch, which helps keep me mentally aware. I have also had the opportunity to play multiple defensive positions, such as middle infield, third base, outfield and pitcher.
Along with the basic high school classes, I am working through the criminal justice course track which my high school offers. I am heavily involved in my schools Forensic Science Club. I was chosen to compete in the Skills USA's Crime Scene Investigation Competition, where we placed third and qualified for State Competition. I am in the State Dual Credit Criminal Justice class and plan to pursue Criminal Justice as my focus elective in my senior year of high school.
I have a good natured personality, and I get along well with my teammates, coaches, my high school classmates, and teachers. I make good grades and work hard at school, as well as baseball. I put school and baseball as a top priority in my life. When I am not going to school or playing baseball, I work for my dad, who owns a painting business. I have been working with him since I was 12, earning money and paying for items I want, such as my Harley Davidson motorcycle, which I purchased at 15. I value things more due to the fact that I work hard for them. I am dedicated to my own success and putting in the necessary work to improve myself as a person and an athlete.
I am looking for a college program that will improve and challenge me both athletically and academically. I am looking forward to finding the school that will provide me a great college experience academically and allow me to continue to pursue my dream of playing baseball at the next level.
