Scouting report from Baseball Factory 01/24/2021 - All-In Membership - Knoxville, TNWilliam is an athletic/projectable (6'2"/205) 2-way prospect who can make things happen in a variety of ways. With the bat, this righty stands in well with an athletic setup, centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. He takes an aggressive hack with quick hands, whipping the barrel to and through the zone with speed. He barrels the ball up and hits it to all parts of the field. In the OF, he has active prep with a quick first step. He takes solid routes working lightly on the balls of his feet. He works behind and through the ball with a quick/clean transfer and strong throws with carry. On the mound, this RHP will challenge hitters with an effective 3-pitch mix. He works tall, has smooth separation and drives downhill. He pounds the zone with strikes with all of his pitches. FB tops out at 82 mph as he keeps it down in the zone. Breaking ball has sharp break with tight spin - showing to be his best pitch (70-71 mph). Changeup compliments his FB well. Vance is a talented (2022 grad) 2-way player who has the skills that will translate well into the next level.
