I have been playing team sports since I was four years old. As a three sport athlete, I know what it takes to be a part of a team and a leader on a team. I have experienced being in playoffs in Baseball, Football and Soccer, including a State runner-up finish in baseball and two State semi-finalist appearances in Soccer. The time I have put into all three of these sports since the 6th grade has not only fueled me competitively, but has also shaped me to be a better man. I have learned how to communicate with people, encourage people and manage my time wisely. There is never an off-season for me, but I am able to keep my grades up and work in the weight room consistently. Being one of five siblings has also influenced my competitiveness and teamwork for not only baseball, but in life as well.
My academic goal for the rest of high school is to keep my GPA at a 3.5 or higher and focus this summer on preparing for the SAT while playing summer ball. My goals for college are to succeed in the classroom, achieve a degree, and enjoy being a student athlete. I believe I have the capability to succeed in the classroom, on the diamond, and in the rest of my life. More than any other sport, Baseball has taught me to be humble and patient. My passion to play at the next level has driven me to be the best I can be. My goal after anything I do is to look back and be able to say I did my very best.
