Scouting Report:
Coach Alex Cintron former MLB Player for Arizona Diamondback says 7/15: "Juan is a player who has just started catching at my recommendation. He has such great talent that is becoming one of the best defensive catchers at his young age and can be compared to Yadier Molina. He is a good hitter and a strong kid with the projection of becoming a power hitter! He also has a great work ethic, is a leader and is smart on the field. At the moment, Juan has the potential to be a JUCO player but once he puts everything together he will be a D1 player behind the plate!"
Coach Mike Goss says 7/15: "Juan is a very hard worker, mature kid on the baseball field plus he's just an all around awesome kid that has a dream of being a great baseball player. As of right now Juan can go to a top Juco and shine but he has potential to be a great D1 player with his work ethic."
PrepStar Regional Scout says: Juan Sanchez is a class of 2018 catcher with exceptional defensive skills behind the plate and arm strength. This is supported by his 1.93 POP time. Juan prides himself on being hard worker who loves the game of baseball. This true love for the game allows him to work tirelessly at improving his craft. Juan has extensive travel ball experience playing against high caliber competition, where he has excelled. When asked to list his top three baseball related attributes, Juan responded with the following order 1). Defense Behind the Plate 2). Leadership and 3). Hitting.
