Hello my name is Colton Baron. I am currently a PO for the Davis High School Varsity Baseball Team as well as a PO for PCH Baseball Factory which is a showcase travel team. I am a starter for both teams. I have played baseball on competitive travel teams since I was nine years old and have played in tournaments in several states. I have been lucky to have supportive parents and great coaches that taught me the love of the game and to be a good team player. They taught me how to accept losing as part of the game, and to be humble when winning. I was taught to work hard to improve my own skills so I could contribute to the team. Their encouragement and lessons helped me as a 12 and 13 year old when I won three separate home run derbys. As a Freshman, I made the first ever Farmington High School Baseball team but due to boundary changes, I started at Davis High School my Sophomore year. All of my older siblings went to Davis so this was a great change for me. I love the game of Baseball and have been successful playing multiple positions including first base, third base and outfield. My favorite position has always been as a pitcher. My fastball was recently clocked at 86 mph in a tournament in Mesa, Arizona. I am also an avid outdoorsman and enjoy spending time with my family skiing, camping, hunting and fishing. I also enjoy Archery and Mountain Biking and am currently on the Davis High Mountain Bike team. I earned my Eagle Scout at the age of 14 and my project was sending medical supplies to third world countries. My dream is to play Baseball at the college level while I am studying to become an Orthopedic Surgeon. I look forward to talking with college coaches as my skills and abilities progress. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
