My name is Tyler McClanahan. I am a rising senior at Tunstall High School in Dry Fork VA, graduating in the spring of 2016. I have enjoyed baseball all of my life. I have always been a team player and believe in the phrase "there is no I in TEAM". Everyone on a team is a valuable member. Each have their own talents and attributes. Each day I strive to be the best that I can possibly be and work very hard to make sure that my goals are met. I have a very strong work ethic that not only is through sports and competition, but for my study habits and work that needs to be done for academics. I also consider myself to be extremely dedicated, responsible, and honest. Achieving a college degree and being able to play the game that I love is extremely important to me.
I have played on several All Star Teams from the age of 8-14, the last being The Danville Little League--Jr/Sr League Division where we were District and State Champions in 2013.
This Year, I was blessed and fortunate enough to be named to the following teams with the following stats for my school:
2015 Danville Register and Bee All Metro Pitcher, 2015 Conference 30 Pitcher of the Year, 2015 !st Team All Piedmont, First team All Region 3A West; Record of 64 innings pitched, Record 8-2, 82 strikeouts, 1.32 ERA.
I was also fortunate enough to be able to participate in the 2015 Subway Commonwealth of VA games also.
I have a great support system with people that believe in me and my abilities, and I feel that I give everything that I have to be successful and am willing to always give more if needed to pursue my dreams.
