I started playing baseball when I was 4 years old. I began playing because my dad played in high school and before that. My dad has had a big role in my baseball career. When I was 11 years old, I got hit in the face with a line drive while I was pitching and ended up in the hospital. It took awhile for me to get back on the mound, but I eventually built up the courage to get back up there and have excelled since letting that fear go. I got really interested in baseball when it got competitive. Around 11u is when I truly understood how important baseball is in my life. I believe that I have truly found what I want to do in college and hopefully past college by playing baseball. Baseball taught me how to get out of ruts and slumps in baseball and life. Even if you aren’t doing well, just try your best, give your everything, and work hard until you get out of the slump and then you will learn what to do in that situation if you get in another one. You can’t just go out on the field and know what you’re doing. You have to be there mentally and physically to understand.
My academic goal for high school is to be on A/B honor roll, graduating with an Advanced Diploma. In college I want to play baseball all 4 years and take classes that challenge me mentally. I hope to make a living out of baseball, but if that doesn’t work I would like to be an athletic trainer and help people get better at their sport and really find their dedication to their grind and love for their sport. My most special characteristic is that I have an outgoing personality. I can easily get along with all types of people and I am not shy about making new friends. That helps me on and off the field with motivating myself and others to accomplish our goals with a positive and upbeat attitude.
