Ashton McGarity '22 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to be as successful in every class with the best grades I can achieve to ensure I am able to meet my career aspirations. I am a hard worker and always eager to learn new things. I want to go to school to become a teacher.   I come from a family of teachers and will be a third generation teacher, just like my sisters. I'm a 6'5 RHP and I throw 82-84 miles per hour.  My pitches consist of a fastball, curveball, changeup, and a 2 seam fastball.   In addition I play first base fairly often.  I am not afraid to sweat it out daily to be a successful baseball player on and off the field. Academically I have had to work through challenges on top of the challenges the Covid-19 global pandemic provided, but I took them on and am  able to graduate with a Virginia Advanced Diploma and a Career and Technical Education certification in welding.  With my family's support I have worked to set my self up for any future I desire.
