Corey Keller '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Corey Keller and I attend Strasburg High in Strasburg, VA. I'm a 5'7"-150 lb. grounded and coachable athlete. I live on my family farm and believe this has given me the work ethic that is needed to become a college athlete.  I began my baseball career at age 5 and have enjoyed each season since.

I have a strong work ethic in both academics and athletics. My strong academic background is proven with my 4.0 GPA and above average test scores on the PSAT. I continue to work hard and prepare for the SAT & ACT tests scheduled for my junior year. I am honored to be selected into the Strasburg High School Athletic Leadership Council. This Council demonstrates that I am a strong leader on and off of the field. Being involved in the community as well as your school is important. I assist our local Ruritan club when needed along with the activities of the Athletic Leadership Council.

As a catcher, one must have a high level of IQ for baseball. This level of IQ not only comes from playing but from researching and studying the sport. I have been the starting Catcher on my varsity and summer teams since my freshman year. I also play third base when we have double headers in the summer. It is this trust and knowledge I have earned from my coaches that will allow me to grow upon at the collegiate level.

To maintain my athleticism during the off season, I play winter Basketball as I believe it is important to sustain involvement throughout the year. I am looking for a college with a strong academic program as well as a competitive athletic program. My goal is to play college baseball while pursuing a Sports Management degree.
