Dylan Amend '23 Recruiting Profile

From my earliest memories I have dreamed of playing baseball at the college level and with hard work and determination to one day make that dream come true.   Science and math come easy to me which will give me the skills I need to pursue a degree in Math or Physics.  Off the field I aspire to work for NASA.  

In the classroom I work hard maintaining a 4.0 GPA.  I am an intelligent high achiever who believes in hard work.  I am currently enrolled in the STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) Program.  I have been selected to attend the Governors School for Science and Technology.

My attributes on the field make me the best candidate for your team.  I am a power hitter with patience at the plate.  My physical size, quick feet and soft hands make me a sound corner infielder.  As a pitcher I have worked hard at constantly evaluating and improving my mechanics and command of the baseball.

I am a team leader and player who always puts the team first to achieve the team’s goals.  Concentration is the key in maintaining great composure on and off the mound to achieve the team’s objectives.  I believe in mastering the fundamentals and make every mistake as part of my development.  I value sportsmanship by showing respect to my coaches, team, opponents, officials, and fans. All these qualities make me a very coachable player.

I would like to attend a college that is a great match for my hard work ethics on and off the field.  I am very competitive and seek the right school who believes in developing high caliber student athletes who put in the hard work to carry any workload.  I would like to be part of an organization that I can be very proud of.
