Personal Statement

Hard work and dedication have always been part of anything i do and baseball has really helped me develop those qualities.  I have been playing baseball since i was 4 or 5 years old.  Baseball has helped me deal with failure and success with humility. I don't like to lose but i don't let it nag at me for long and it makes me work harder to get better. I feel these qualities would make me a good student athlete for your team.  I am lucky to have participated in baseball in various settings as i have played little league, select/travel ball and now high school baseball.  I have been voted player of the month during summer ball for Sandberg Baseball during my 12u,13u,and 14u summer seasons for my work ethic and toughness.  My teammates can count on me to give it my all everyday and i work extra on my own time often before and after practice.  I don't have perfect grades but i work hard to get better in the classroom and this year it is showing that i have put in the work.  I have never had anything given to me in baseball and i believe that comes from my dad who is a varsity baseball coach of a small school in the area. He coached me in little league and he wouldn't let me be one of the kids who got by with the daddy ball mentality. He made me work for any spot on every team he was a part of, nothing given. I believe all of this has helped me along my path and it is my dream to play college baseball.  I am looking forward to finding a school that will provide me with a well rounded educational and athletic experience. I will have to use financial aid as my parents are working class when it comes to income and cost has to be a consideration for our family. I want to play for a program that has a grind it out mentality and values hard work and dedication and i want to have an impact from day one with my work ethic.  I feel i would bring all these qualities to a program and help make it better.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
