My name is Akoni Nazarino. I am currently 15 years old, an upcoming sophomore at Kentridge High school. My goal has always been to play baseball at a D1 college after high school while holding a strong academic degree in engineering
I am very positive and uplifting to my teammates and classmates. I give 110% all the time and try to be a leader by setting good examples on and off the field.
What makes me different from other players would be that I am always asking the coaches what I can improve on, making adjustments by listening to their suggestions and being coachable. Staying humble and keep negative things to myself. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA and taking advanced math class at school is important for me to stay ahead academically. I am a student athlete, and school should come before sports.

- Ross Report. 2027 Akoni Nazarino RHP (Kentridge). Medium framed young righthander already showing improvements early in 2024. Works with a simple and repeatable operation and has a clean and easy armstroke. Gets it out quick, pitching around 83-85 with more to come. Fastball and changeup both play with arm side life and his Slider flashes a late two-plane bite. His slider is his best present secondary with a chance to continue developing into a real outpitch. The natural operation is appealing and with the uptick in stuff, he's a guy to have on your radar for the 2027 class. Akoni Nazarino, Kentridge (WA), 2027 Positional Profile: 1B/RHP Body: 5-11, 195-pounds. Delivery: Simple and repeatable windup. Stays over rubber with balanced short stride working down the mound. Arm Action: RH. Breaks at the letters with downward takeaway. Arms works free and easy from start to finish with low effort and good arm speed. High 3/4 release with late intent and controlled finish. FB: T85, 83-85 mph. T2151, 2067 average rpm. SL: 73-76 mph. T2278, 2238 average rpm. CH: 76-77 mph. T1617, 1543 average rpm.
