My name is Halen Otte, class of 2022, I'm 6'0" and weigh 200. I am a senior at Mercer Island High School in Washington State. I have a current GPA of 3.7. My main position is catcher and I'm an excellent batter. I'm named after the famous rock band Van Halen. I'm looking for a college that still needs a catcher or even a bullpen catcher.
Our baseball season just started on March 15th and I’m off to a great start with 2 home runs (315ft and 365ft) and then the next game I hit 2 doubles w/2 RBIs. We’re half way through the season and I currently lead in 5 key hitting categories (slugging %, home runs, extra base hits, RBIs, total bases and am #2 in OPS). Mercer Island HS has won their league championship 5 times in the last 10 years with a state championship and 3rd place state finish and currently we're in first place. Currently the team has 5 college commits.
My club team The Boys of Summer 18U Premier Blue competes in several regional tournaments. Last season my OBP was .408 and OPS is .780.
