Bryson Nelson '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bryson Nelson and I am a 6’3 260 lb 1st baseman and pitcher with a never give up attitude. In my 2 years playing baseball for Lindbergh High School, I have improved my game to become a starter at 1st base, batting .519 earning second team all league honors as a designated hitter, earning a varsity letter. This performance assisted the team to returning to the West Central District playoffs for the first time in 3 years. My hussle and bat strength forced 5 defensive errors to reach base. 

I also earned JV Pitcher of the Year award 7.00 ERA striking out 21 batters in 21 innings pitched. No matter how rough and tough it gets I have been a team player who performs well under pressure.

My hope is to play college baseball while earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

I am committed to my training year round by setting high goals that carries into the season. In the off season I was one of the top defensive lineman in improving my bench, squat and clean for football where am a 2 year varsity letterman. I also coach baseball to children 3-12 years old in the spring and summer months with our local CVAC youth baseball and Skyhawks.

The work I put on the field transfers to the classroom where History, English, Visual Communications and Culinary Arts are areas where I excel.
