Personal Statement

Dear Coaches:

My name is Craig Yamaguchi, and I am currently a Senior at Charles Lindbergh High School in Renton, Washington.  I am excited that NCSA is able to help me by broadcasting my skills, using their recruiting coaches.  I appreciate college coaches like you, are taking the time to preview my profile.  I understand this is a pain staking process but I am certain this Personal Statement will prove to you why I am your best choice for your team.

I am 5'11", 170 lbs, very fast, and I can bench press over 235 lbs.  I am very driven to compete and work hard at everything I do.  I am on the Varsity Baseball Team (since I was a freshman), and was on the Football team from my freshman-junior year.  I constantly tell myself, I can always improve, whether it is my speed, swing, fielding. or grades.  I enjoy working as a group, and drive to improve individually.  I am a great athlete and strive to be a greater collegiate athlete.

I was in AP History, Honors Math and Honors Language Arts, and have been an honor student as long as I can remember.  I enjoy attending different leadership camps and getting involved in team building skills.  After practice, I go straight to my room and do my homework, often times past 1:00am.  I have two sisters who currently are attending the University of Washington, and my goal would be to also attend a great college.  My parents have been very supportive in my choices and will help me in any way they can.  Attending schools in Washington, Oregon, California, or Arizona would be great.  I would like to attend a college where I could play baseball, but of course, would also like to attend a school with a great academic program.

Again, thank you coaches, for taking the time in viewing my profile, and considering me to be a part of your team.

Always striving to be better!

Craig T.L. Yamaguchi
