Personal Statement

I have always wanted to go to college, and when I realized early on that I could go, and play baseball, I began to focus on getting there. I am the youngest of 6 brothers and have always been challenged to jump higher, throw harder, and run faster. I soon found that baseball was an all around natural fit for my skills and physique so I have dedicated myself to becoming successful at life in sports together. I am Native American and am enrolled in the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe. My mom has always taught me to follow and respect my traditions and cultures and it has helped me to become a more fulfilled and rounded person. I am a teachable student in school and on the baseball field and always mindful of my team mates. I want to go to a school where I can make a difference in the baseball program, and get onto a path that allows me to grow at a pace that I believe is best for me in sports and academics. I am open to going out of state to achieve my goals if that's what it takes.

PLEASE FIND BELOW, OFFICIAL SCOUTING REPORT FROM 'UNDER-ARMOUR' BASEBALL FACTORY:

Jace is a tall, strong RHP/SS who has a promising future on the diamond. In the MIF, he takes good first steps in working to get around balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure but will benefit by presenting more out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 64-70 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to build arm strength will aid in further development on the mound. With 2 years to further develop, Jace has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
