Dear Coach,
My name is Declan Brown, I am a senior at O’Dea High School in Seattle, WA. I play my summer baseball for the Showcase team with the City Baseball organization in Seattle. I play all three outfield positions and hit and throw right-handed. I have a gap to gap approach and hit with power. On the bases I am aggressive and not afraid to take an extra bag when the opportunity arises. I'm also aggressive in the outfield and eager to lay out for balls. I love lifting weights and working out. I am 5’9 and 180lbs. I am a two sport athlete and am in my third varsity year on the O'Dea football team as a running/fullback, kicker and special teams.
Academics
In school I participate in student leadership as a mentor group captain my junior year and a House captain my senior year. I have a 3.6 GPA through my junior year. My academic interests in college are in the fields of engineering (Mechanical and Automotive), Sports Management, Exercise Science, and Entrepreneurial studies.
