Marshall Derrick '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Marshall Derrick. As soon as I picked up a baseball bat at the age of 5 I fell in love with the game. I used to watch games on the television and pretend I was actually in the game.

As an athlete, I embody versatility, strength, and an exceptional baseball IQ. I am a first baseman, right-handed pitcher, and third baseman. My high velocity off the bat paired with my exceptional contact skills allow me to hit the ball hard into the gaps. I'm not only a great athlete, my academic excellence shines through with a  4.15 GPA. I take both AP and honors courses. Also, my commitment to service and my musical talents show my well-rounded character and dedication to excellence in all aspects of my life. As a recruit, I bring not only athleticism but also intelligence, leadership, and a passion for making a difference both on and off the field.
