My name is Daniel Pritt and I'm a Senior at Oak Hill High School (a AAA school) in Oak Hill, WV. I am very interested in playing baseball at the college level after high school and believe I have the ability to do so. I have been a Varsity starter for the Red Devil baseball team all three years I have been in high school. I have been clocked at a 6.5 second 60 yard dash and I'm very quick and smart on the base paths and in the outfield, as well. Having good speed is a big 'plus' for me. This season I batted .374 with 10 doubles, 10 stolen bases and 20 rbi's. In the sectional tournament, I batted .429 with a double, a home run, 2 rbi's and five runs scored. I also have very good leadership qualities on and off the field. I am a current member of the National Honor Society at my school and academically, I am ranked 25th out of the 230 students in my class. I hold a 3.7 gpa and I'm a very hard worker not only on the baseball field, but also in the classroom. I have also held a part time job since my 16th birthday and pay for my own car insurance, cell phone and any 'extras' I purchase. I feel I could bring strong leadership and dedication to any baseball program out there. I am fast, strong in the outfield, honest, responsible, mature, coachable, dedicated and determined to be the best player I can be. I appreciate the time you took to look at my profile and if you would have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration.
*SUMMER BALL STATS UPDATE: We were able to play approximately 20 summer games w/ many canceled due to severely rainy weather. I batted 21 for 47 = .447. I had 15 stolen bases and 13 rbi's.
SENIOR YEAR UPDATES: I am currently taking an intense weightlifting/cross-fit class daily at my school. I am working on increasing my upper body strength and want to stay 'all around' physically fit. I'm also making it a priority to work out in the batting cage each day. Max bench = 185. Max squat = 300. Max power clean = 200. Max clean and jerk = 175. Max deadlift = 345. Squat clean = 175
I recently re-took the ACT and brought my score up from an 18 to a 20. I am happy with this increase, however, I am one who just simply does not 'test' well, but I am a good student!
Best regards,
Daniel Pritt
