My name is Cole Barker; I am a senior at Lewis County High School in Weston WV. I was born June 13th, 2000. I am 6’2’’ and weigh 198 LBS. I am a right-handed pitcher and batter. My primary position is pitcher and my secondary is 1st base or wherever the coach asks me to play. I also play football. I was starting guard my sophomore and junior years and my senior year I am the starting defensive end, defensive back and on offense I am a running back and half back as well as starting on special teams. First and foremost, I am a team player. I try to be the best at whatever position a coach puts me in. I have attended many baseball camps and clinics and always learned something from the many coaches that I have worked with. I love sports, but baseball is my passion. I started playing T-ball at the age of 4 with my dad coaching. When I am not playing sports, I love to hunt and fish. My family; grandfather, grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins and of course my parents and older sister go to Quebec fishing for a week in the summer. We also try to through in a beach trip as well. I love spending time with my family. During the winter months I work with hitting and pitching coaches to always try to better my game. I have a great interest business and economics and focus on those courses in school. My parents have set up a custodial account where I manage and invest in my own stock portfolio. I am also yearbook staff editor and enjoy photography. I would like to major in business with an economics and finance degree and pursue that career, but baseball is my goal. I have played varsity baseball since my freshman year being the only varsity freshman pitcher in the lineup with 5 other senior pitchers. My junior year pitching I went 6-0-1 as the starting pitcher. I have always hit in the 3rd or 4th spot in the lineup. My last game of the regular season of my sophomore year I hit my first home run and added 3 more my junior year of high school ball. In the summers I have played for a local legion team as well as a couple of travel clubs. In conclusion I have always tried to be the hardest working and most coachable person on the team and will always have that attitude on any team that I will be fortunate enough to call MY team. Respectfully, Cole Russell Barker.
