Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Ava Fried and I am graduating from Murrieta Mesa High School in 2024. I have been a cheerleader for 8 years, and a STUNT athlete for 2 years. I have cheer experience at the Allstar and High school levels, and I have had a love and passion for the sport since I was 8 years old. I am a well rounded athlete, with experience in all stunt positions, as well as having advanced tumbling. Tumbling has always been my favorite part of cheerleading, and it is my strongest area. I love dancing and performing in front of a crowd, and I am an outgoing person who loves to meet new people and try new things. I have planned on going to college since my childhood, and I have especially aspired to be a competitive collegiate athlete. Academically, I have always succeeded, and I have maintained good grades throughout the entirety of my schooling. I currently have a 4.14 GPA and am ranked 20th out of the 581 students in my grade. I have always been athletically and academically driven, with a constant desire to improve. The gym has always been my happy place, and I find joy in pushing my body to get stronger. I aspire to attend a college with competitive athletics as well as academics, and a positive, social environment.
