My goal is to major in physics as an undergraduate and gain my masters in astronomy or astrophysics. I plan on continuing to be a student athlete while balancing school and life’s challenges. I began cheering at the age of six. I have a background of all-star cheer and high school spirit/competition cheer. I am considering joining an All-Star Team in November (they are considering forming a level 4 team to go to Worlds), but I haven’t accepted a position with them. The last 2 years of cheer have been challenging for our team. We have had 2 new coaches in the last 9 months, which makes it hard to reach the level we want to be competing at. Something that makes me different in the academic field would have to be my organization ethics. I have my mom to thank for that! I use an agenda for notes, tracking assignments, and upcoming test dates. In athletics, I make it a priority to check-in with my teammates. The last couple years have been challenging for us all, so I like to make sure they are doing ok with schoolwork or problems that occur outside of school because the way we feel affects the way we perform. When it comes time to work, I always put in my best effort and I’m not afraid to step outside of my comfort zone and try something new!
