Hello, I am Alyssa Wagenaar. I am sixteen years old, and this upcoming season will be my 12th year of all-star cheerleading. I did high school cheerleading freshman and sophomore year and will be doing it again my senior year. As a child, I always just assumed I would cheer in college and that is my goal. It is also my goal to use the sport to potentially help finance whatever college it is I attend. I have done all positions in cheerleading. I was a flyer the longest but most recently have been basing and I have tried back spotting a few times. I am hardworking and almost always positive. I was raised in a military family which enabled me to develop resiliency in new environments. I have mostly level 3 tumbling skills and I am close to certain level 4 and 5 skills. Academics-wise, I am a good student. I have good grades, mostly A's and a few B's. I have been able to balance two cheer teams and a part-time job while achieving academic success. Thank you.
