Cheerleading for me isn't just a sport or a hobby, it's my way of life. I'm healthier and happier because of it. Through this sport, through my team, I found myself not only growing as a cheerleader, but as an athlete and a person.
I began cheering 6 years ago. I was in 7th grade at Lewis and Clark Middle school and I had no idea what I was doing. Thinking back to that time, I realized just how much an impact this sport has had on me. Cheerleading became a way for me to connect to myself, it became my outlet, my de-stresses "er", my everything. I could be having a bad day or even a bad practice, but as soon as I got there, all my "bad energy" went away. I'd be suddenly surrounded by an amazing group of people with enough energy to spare and all determined to be the best versions of themselves as they can be.
