I’ve been cheering ever since I was in middle school. Being on the cheer team allowed me to become a better leader on the cheer squad, as well as in the school and in my community. I’ve built many bonds and worked on my communication skills while being introduced to different members of the cheer team. My collegiate goals are to get my RN to BSN at Western Kentucky University and become a Travel Nurse. I would be a good candidate for any college team because I add a sense of dedication as well as humor and motivation. I strive for the best when it comes to cheerleading and I take this sport very seriously. Stating that I’m any better than other recruits would be narcissistic and rude of me, but I will say that my leadership and determination goes a long way when it comes to this specific sport that I have so much love for. Not only do I take cheerleading seriously, but I also take my academics seriously as well. It takes a lot of courage and dedication to be a student athlete and I make sure I always put my academics before anything else. Cheering at a collegiate level would allow me to be a part of a community that shares the same love for this sport that I do.
