I have dedicated my senior year to challenging myself academically. This year I have proved to myself that I can buckle down and do anything I put my mind to on and off the mat! I have a strong passion for interior design and love to major in Business. My aspiration is to own my own interior design company. I want a business degree with an interior design and real estate background.
I have been cheering since first grade, I started off as a flyer and flew some years on all star. In 8th grade my parents noticed I was extremely introverted and challenged me to try out for the high school cheer team. After trying out I was placed on Varsity where I flew and tumbled. After a few concussions I returned to all star cheer as a base. I know my experience as a flyer has made me a strong base because I understood the other side, I knew what the flyers are thinking and feeling and their struggle to keep themselves up in the air when the grips werent good. That's when it hit me, this is a team. There is no solo, I'm not going to go on the mat and perform for me and hope that I win. I love the feeling of walking off the mat knowing that we hit the best zero deduction routine posible and knowing we gave it our all.
I would be an asset to any cheer team because I thrive on the camaraderie, I will not let my team down no matter what position I am in. I will strive to be versatile on and off the mat. I have been and am dedicated to both academics and my sport. I have the backing and support of my family and friends and i have been fortunate enough to be able to travel with my cheer family (aka team) To me Cheering has made integrating into academic life so much easier, I love the camaraderie, and building trust with my teammates no matter if I am flying or basing, I feel these versatile skills will be needed in life also.
