Hello, my name is Aila Marcoux. I am a senior at Adali Stevenson High School in Livonia, Michigan. I am looking to pursue my aspiration to become a college athlete and perform at the highest level. I have competed in Allstar cheer where I attended Worlds in 2019. As an athlete, I am very accustomed to playing at a varsity level since my freshman year. I received the captain position my sophomore year. Throughout my high school career, I have perservered through many trials and tribulations. My best example of perseverance through challenging times was due to the pandemic. Me and four of my teammates on our cheer team tested positive for antibodies. There we were, a team of five representing our school at districts. I am proud to say we moved from district to regionals through sheer determination and a no quit attitude. I have learned to bring my determination from the mat, to the classroom. Every year my grades get better and I am making great strides to bring my grade point average up to give me the best opportunity to cheer at the highest level. I am a very tough, head down hard worker that takes losing personally. I am prepared to bring my skills to the college level and excel at great lengths. I believe I am a perfect fit for your school and your cheer team. I am consumed in determination and I never quit when things get tough.
