My name is Kyla Nauertz and I am interested in being a member of an all-girl Cheerleading program, Game Day and Competition. I am currently a junior in high school; graduating June 2024. I am an athlete on the Varsity Cheerleading team at Prior Lake High School in Savage MN. We are 2023 UCA National Champions for Traditional and runner up for Game-day; both medium non-tumbling. Also, we were 2022 UCA National Champions for Game Day (medium non-tumbling) and runner up for Traditional Competition (small non-tumbling); I was on-mat as a main-base for both divisions in 2023 and 2022. Although our high school cheer program is currently non-tumbling, I take dedicated classes in tumbling knowing this is a critical skill for collegiate cheerleading. I have my layout and I am working toward a full. My tumbling coach and I have goals that I have my whip to a full by the time I graduate from high school. My goal for cheer is to join a team and culture that will allow me to grow as an athlete and person.
Academically, I am a dedicated and serious student. I have a 3.96 cumulative GPA (weighted) and will take the ACT in Spring 2023. I am considering Communications as a major at this time.
