Alexandra Podesta '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexandra Podesta and I am currently a junior at Seaford High School in Seaford, New York. I graduate in June of 2024 and have been cheering since I was 5 years old. I was also a dancer, gymnast, and all-start cheerleader. I am currently in my 2^nd year as a varsity cheer member.  I was pulled up to the junior varsity team when I was in middle school and was on the team for 2 years. I was on middle school cheer my 7^th grade year, and did my home town youth league from age 5 to age 12. I usually practice 6 days a week for 2 and a half hours. In addition, I go to private tumbling class once and week to improve my tumbling skills. I currently have mastered a standing tuck, backhand spring tuck, round-off hand tuck/ layout, and I am in the process of getting my full. I am a secondary base and have some flying experience from when I was on junior varsity and youth league. In addition to being a student athlete, I am very involved with my school and community. I am a part, of the “best buddies” and freshman mentor clubs in my school. I am also the captain of the Seaford Fire Department juniors program and when I am 18 I plan on joining the department as a full volunteer member. I was a girl scout for many years and received my bronze and silver awards. I feel that I am a very well- rounded athlete and would make a great addition to both my prospective school and team. I am looking forward to college and the opportunity to work with my future teammates and coaches!
